Born in Breese, Illinois, Jacob Todd Odorizzi (born March 27, 1990) is a right-handed pitcher who has played for the Kansas City Royals, Tampa Bay Rays and Minnesota Twins.

As a high school senior, Jake was 14-0 with a 0.08 ERA, allowing just 1 earned run over nearly 90 innings. He was selected by the Milwaukee Brewers in the supplemental first round of the 2008 amateur draft. Despite an opportunity to play baseball and football at the University of Louisville, he was signed by scout Harvey Kuenn Jr.

Jake received Rookie of the Year votes in 2014 and finished 8th in the voting. In 2019, Jake was selected for the AL All-Star team and went on to a 15-7 record with a 3.36 ERA.

On 9/12/18, he came within 1 2/3 innings of a no hitter versus a deep Yankees lineup. Jake maintains an active Twitter account @JakeOdorizzi.
