Player Bio: Miles Mastrobuoni
Miles Mastrobuoni (born October 31, 1995 in San Ramon, CA) is a professional baseball outfielder and infielder for the Seattle Mariners of Major League Baseball (MLB). He previously played for the Tampa Bay Rays and the Chicago Cubs. Miles is the son of Frank and Barbara Mastrobuoni. He was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays in the 14th round of the 2016 MLB draft.
A prized prospect, Miles has played second base, as well as shortstop, third base and all three outfield spots, and has been considered an excellent fielder. Prior to his call-up to the Rays, Mastrobuoni had played in 129 games in Durham and was hitting .300 with 16 home runs, 32 doubles and 23 steals.
Miles was called up to the majors for the first time on September 22, 2022. In his Major League debut against the Blue Jays that day, he entered the game in the 8th inning as a defensive replacement playing second base without coming to bat. He collected his first hit the next night on September 23, finishing the night with two hits and a run scored in a key game against the Blue Jays.
Miles was traded from the Rays to the Cubs after the 2022 season, and to the Mariners after the 2024 season.
