Garin Glenn Cecchini (born April 20, 1991 in Sulphur, LA) is an American former professional baseball third baseman. Nicknamed "Cheech", Garin made his Major League Baseball (MLB) debut with the Boston Red Sox in 2014. He is the older brother of infielder Gavin Cecchini (see below).
Garin was selected by the Red Sox in the fourth round of the 2010 draft out of Alfred M. Barbe High School in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Following the 2011 season, he was ranked by Baseball America as the best hitter for batting average in the Red Sox minor league system. Garin was named the Red Sox's No. 10 prospect by MLB.com entering the 2012 campaign. In 2013, he was honored with the Dernell Stenson Sportsmanship Award.
In November 2013, Garin's contract was purchased by the Red Sox and he was added to the 40-man roster and he was called up to Boston on June 1, 2014. His career has consisted of 13 MLB games and 40 plate appearances.

Gavin Glenn Christopher Joseph Cecchini (born December 22, 1993) is a second baseman who is a free agent. He has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the New York Mets. Gavin was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Prior to the 2012 MLB draft, he was regarded by Perfect Game as "good athlete, highest level hitter and outstanding middle infield tools. He was drafted by the NY Mets in the first round of the 2012 MLB Draft with the 12th overall pick.
He made his Major League debut on September 11, 2016. His MLB career to date has consisted of 36 Games and 83 ABs. He is the younger brother of Major League infielder Garin (see above).
